John Pierce, President and Consulting Actuary
John has a B.S. in mathematics from University of Chicago and an M.B.A. from University of Chicago. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (F.C.A.S.), a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (M.A.A.A.), and a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries (F.C.A.). He is a member of the American Society of Healthcare Risk Managers (ASHRM) and is a member of the Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals (AICP).
John served on the Casualty Actuarial Society’s Health and Managed Care Committee from 1998 to 2003 and on the Committee for Volunteer Resources from 2012 to 2014. He has been a member of the American Academy of Actuaries’ Committee on Property-Liability Financial Reporting (COPLFR) since 2012.
John coauthored (with Randy Roth) the article “Seven Simple Lessons on the Mortgage Crisis from Two Actuaries”
Dale Edlefson, Consulting Actuary
Dale has a B.A. in mathematics from Augustana College. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (F.C.A.S.) and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (M.A.A.A.).
Dale has served on the editorial board of Variance, the professional journal of the Casualty Actuarial Society since 2007. He also currently serves on the CAS Publications Management Board. He also served as Editor in Chief of the Proceedings of the CAS, and has served on the faculty of the Casualty Loss Reserve Seminar.
Ray Michalski, Actuarial Assistant
Ray has a B.S. in mathematics from Northern Illinois University.
